John Skoog in collaboration with Bjarke Hvass Kure has curated the exhibition Near Dark from Towner’s collection, which opens on 8 February 2014. Drawing from the time when night approaches as surely as sleep, when street lamps are lit and every being becomes his own shadow, Skoog draws on his own practice to respond to Towner’s invitation to explore their collection.

Near Dark is shown alongside his solo exhibition Redoubt (25 Jan-6 Apr 2014) and unfolds like a fragmented thriller.
