John Skoog wins 12th Goteborg Festival Startsladden award
Pilar Corrias is delighted to announce that John Skoog is the winner of the prestigious 12th Goteborg Festival’s Startsladden for Reduit (Redoubt), (2014), regarded as one of the world’s most important short film prizes.

Hauntingly beautiful with a minimal aesthetic, Reduit (Redoubt) centres on a concrete fortress-like monument at a former farm in the Swedish countryside. Skoog follows in the tradition of Scandinavian film-making with his use of stark landscapes and slow-pacing.

Skoog receives a prize fund of almost Sk500,000 ($64,000) in cash, film equipment, and services for Reduit (Redoubt) which was one of eight titles that played at Goteborg’s Cinema Draken.
