Julião Sarmento will present the work “Fado (with Carminho)” as a solo exhibition at The Ermida Nossa Senhora da Conceição. This work was conceived in collaboration with the Portuguese fado singer Carminho as the result of an invitation by Julião Sarmento suggesting her to choose a traditional fado song that would be sung by her a cappella. The sound recording is now presented as an installation that articulates a group of scenic elements giving the wholeness of the work an eminently dramaturgic character.
