Koo Jeong A at ICA Off-Site: Hong Kongese

Duddell’s Presents: ICA Off-Site: Hong Kongese is an exhibition of international contemporary artists whose work is inspired by our ever-changing world and the cosmopolitan centres in which they live.

A large commercial neon sign from Hong Kong’s recent past introduces an exhibition that captures the flux of everyday life, both locally and globally. Displaying works in a variety of media to include photography, painting and sculpture, the exhibition aims to identify with the evolving nature of Hong Kong as it enters a phase of rapid development. Having responded to other cities and the conditions that signal change, each artist offers differing viewpoints relating to social, economic and political transformation.

Artists featured include: Michele Abeles, Korakrit Arunanondchai, Martin Soto Climent, Dexter Dalwood, Zhang Enli, Eloise Hawser, Zeng Hong, Koo Jeong A, Zhu Jinshi, Florian Maier-Aichen, Phoebe Man, Ahmed Mater, Haroon Mirza, Shinro Ohtake, Taryn Simon, Rodel Tapaya, Tseng Kwong Chi and Annie Lai Kuen Wan.

Hong Kongese is curated by Gregor Muir, Alia Al-Senussi and Abdullah AlTurki. The exhibition will open at the time of Art Basel Hong Kong and be listed as part of the Art Basel VIP Programme.
