Philippe Parreno at the Barbican Art Gallery, London

The exhibition Dancing around the Bride: Cage, Cunningham, Johns, Rauschenberg, and Duchamp currently on show at the Philadelphia Museum of Art will travel to the Barbican Art Gallery in London this February. The curator Carlos Basualdo has selected works which reflect the cross-disciplinary practice of the participating artists. For the rebranded The Bride and the Bachelors: Duchamp with Cage, Cunningham, Rauschenberg and Johns, Philippe Parreno has conceived a dynamic experiential staging of the exhibition inspired by the choreography of Cunningham and the music of Cage. On the 15th January, the artist will discuss the legacy of Duchamp together with the exhibition curator and leading Duchamp scholar Paul B. Franklin.
