Shahzia Sikander is taking part in the group show Doris Duke’s Shangri La: Architecture, Landscape and Islamic Art curated by Donald Albrecht and Tom Mellins opening this autumn at the MAD, New York. The artist will present giant projections exploring the paradox of Shangri La, the Honolulu home of an American woman and great collector of Islamic arts.

The exhibition will then travel to the Norton Museum of Art in Florida, the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University, the University of Michigan Museum of Art, the Nevada Museum of Art, the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery and eventually to the Honolulu Museum of Art.
