Tobias Rehberger ‘NEST’ installation at Bloomberg SPACE, London

Tobias Rehberger 'NEST' installation at Bloomberg SPACE, London

On the 11th of October, Bloomberg SPACE will launch a new commission within the Bloomberg European Headquarters by German artist Tobias Rehberger.

The BACK space of the gallery which wraps around the iconic central atrium of the Bloomberg building, will host a newly commissioned installation by artist Tobias Rehberger titled NEST. The work will embody Rehberger’s ongoing interest in design and function, blurring the boundary between the exhibition space and the function of the works themselves. The piece, which has been made in response to the artist’s experience of the building and research of the company, consists of 888 glowing spheres. The sculpture will hang in the central atrium and light up throughout the day depending on the volume of people in the building.

The BACK space of the gallery, will function as a platform for dialogue and will serve as a meeting space, a library and a platform for Bloomberg and its partners. One of Bloomberg’s partners, English PEN, will focus on international voices by building a library of books based on translation that will be explored by a series of talks. All seminars and performances that take place will be filmed in association with the film making charity WORLDwrite will also be working with Bloomberg to film seminars and performances that take place, available to view at www.bloombergspace.com.
