Ulla von Brandenburg nominated for the 2016 Prix Marcel Duchamp

The shortlist was announced by the selection committee of the French art prize—formed by 11 collectors from the Association for the International Diffusion of French Art (ADIAF)—during an event held at the auction house Artcurial, in Paris, Artistik Rezo reports. The winner will be announced at the next edition of FIAC in October.

The Prix Marcel Duchamp was established in 2000 by the ADIAF in partnership with the Centre Pompidou, and, since 2005, the Parisian art fair FIAC. It is awarded to a French artist or artist residing in France representative of his or her generation.

Previous winners include Thomas Hirschhorn, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Tatiana Trouvé, Cyprien Gaillard, Mircea Cantor, Daniel Dewar and Grégory Gicquel, Latifa Echakhch, Julien Prévieux, and Melik Ohanian. Winners also get to exhibit their work in a solo exhibition at the Centre Pompidou.
