Charles Avery will take part in a panel discussion led by Frances Guy as part of the Yorkshire Sculpture Triangle’s 2014 programme: a collaboration between the Henry Moore Institute, Leeds Art Gallery, The Hepworth Wakefield and Yorkshire Sculpture Park. The talk forms part of a one day conference exploring recent tendencies in contemporary figurative sculpture. Across the sessions nine artists consider the sculptural representation of the human body today through performance, self-portraiture, hybrid and fantastical figurations, organic and geometrical formulation, and through art historical precedents.
