Ian Cheng is the recipient of Award for the Filmic Oeuvre, which is created by Louis Vuitton and Kino der Kunst. Filmic Oeuvre Award is awarded every year to one visual artist who promotes intercultural dialogue by using universal language. Cheng wins a 10,000 Euro prize and an exhibition at Espace Louis Vuitton Munchen from April to September 2017. Former recipients of the award include Cory Arcangel and Wael Shawky.
