Emily Sundblad’s Dichterliebe/Divine Bitches is an erotic collage operetta featuring Juliana Huxtable. It is the second instalment of the collaborative performance work originally conceived for The Kitchen, New York, in April 2015. Texts written by Sundblad and Juliana Huxtable (and some taken from online porn sites) are punctuated by lieder from Robert Schumann’s song cycle Dictherliebe and hit songs—such as Chandelier by Sia—rearranged as classical choral compositions. Featuring Juliana Huxtable and Ken Okiishi.

Emily Sundblad is an artist and singer, as well as a co-founder of the gallery Reena Spaulings Fine Art, New York. She has exhibited and performed extensively during the last ten years, both as a solo artist and performer and in collaboration with others. Collaborative projects include Reena Spaulings the artist and Grand Openings with Ei Arakawa, Jutta Koether, Jay Sanders and Stefan Tcherepnin.  She is based in New York.
