Through her performances, Alice Theobald explores the separation between life on stage and real life, and the difference between expression, appearance and sensation. Using the terminology of cinema, television, theatre, literature and musical scores, she is interested in the illusion and the construction of a performance, in the challenges related to acting and in the limits of embodying a character on stage and off stage, while encompassing questions specific to performance, manipulation, sincerity and authenticity. She will present a new show in Reims.
